PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Enterprise Systems group (BES) oversees the strategic vision and implementation plan for IT systems and solutions for the enterprise at Leidos Biomedical Research, the operational information and data systems support to Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research.

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Enterprise Systems group is looking for a M365 SharePoint Developer to work cohesively as part of a team building multiple solutions simultaneously that automate customer's business processes and procedures by utilizing workflows and dashboards within the Microsoft 365 suite of tools (i.e. SharePoint and SharePoint Online). Along with SharePoint, this resource will also develop and maintain applications using the Microsoft 365 Power platform.

The position will be responsible for all aspects of implementing a solution including gathering requirements, development, testing, deployment, and process documentation.

The M365 Sharepoint Developer will:

  • Be responsible for all aspects of implementing a solution including gathering requirements, development, testing, deployment, and process documentation.
  • Be part of team that maintains and supports 300+ on prem SharePoint sites and applications.
  • Perform SharePoint administrative tasks, support workflows built in SharePoint Designer and InfoPath.
  • Implement on roadmap to migrate from InfoPath and on prem SharePoint to SharePoint Online.
  • Utilize M365 tools to solve business and scientific process automation requirements, driving efficiency across the enterprise.
    • Custom PowerApps, PowerBI solutions
    • PowerAutomate for business automation
    • SPO custom and standard sites, enterprise and team-oriented
  • Guide citizen developers on how to effectively use Power Platform utilizing best practices.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.
  • Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to the Microsoft 365 application suite.
  • Identify new areas and business processes where PowerApps/SharePoint can be leveraged and facilitate continual process improvement.

***This position can be hired as either a Software Developer III or IV

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Possession of Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree. Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
    • Software Developer III - In addition to the education requirement, a minimum of five (5) years of experience developing solutions utilizing SharePoint and SharePoint Online.
    • Software Developer IV- In addition to the education requirement, a minimum of eight (8) years of experience developing solutions utilizing SharePoint and SharePoint Online.
  • In addition to the education requirement, a minimum of five (5) years experience developing solutions utilizing SharePoint and SharePoint Online.
  • Experience creating and administering new Microsoft Teams, SharePoint sites, Canvas Apps, Model Driven Apps and Power Automate Flows.
  • Experience in translating complex functional and technical requirements into custom design and development of Microsoft Power Platform-based applications.
  • Experienced in customizing SharePoint using Visual Studio Code, ASP. NET, REST API, HTML,
  • CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SPFX (SharePoint Framework).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to balance both support and project work; able to meet project milestones.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to technical and nontechnical users.
  • Must have the ability to operate with minimal supervision and effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Strong development skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of building enterprise applications using Microsoft technology.
  • Experience in using Git Hub.
  • CSS, JavaScript experience.
  • Power Platform Solution Application Lifecycle Management experience.
  • Experience with Sharegate for data migration.
  • Experience with PowerShell.
  • Experience with Dataverse and/or SQL queries.
