The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. Position Overview:
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Environmental Health and Safety Directorate is responsible for environmental protection, occupational safety and health, protective services, and emergency preparedness programs at the National Cancer Institute at Frederick.
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reference resources for project support and problem solving
- Maintain general awareness of scope of work and track progress for multiple projects
- Attend meetings and recording meeting minutes
- Distribute information from Supervisor at meetings
- Report meeting minutes to Supervisor
- Coordinate meetings
- Prepare internal and external correspondence, memos, and other documentation
- Maintain records (electronic and hard copy) in an organized manner
- Upload and distribute data and files to/from various databases
- Maintain calendars
- Receive and refer calls and electronic communications appropriately
- Audit completion of orientation
- Assist with completion of orientation
- Enter Purchase Requests into DELTEK CostPoint
- Place credit card orders via telephone or internet; entering orders into DELTEK CostPoint
- Complete credit card reconciliations via Corcentric
- Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
- In addition to education requirement, a minimum of two (2) years of secretarial experience including one (1) year at the level of Secretary I
- Experience with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
- Familiarity with data entry and use of a variety of databases
- Experience with calendar management
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
